I don't know where to start.
First you have these endless resources on the forums. So many things that will help every new player or old playing EVE. You decided to have no search feature what so ever! What's that all about? I mean this must be the only forum in the world that does not have a search built in. Why in earth don't you have it? You trying to get people to have hard time? If your are telling me that search will take bandwidth, you must think again. All the bandwidth is going to "next" button when you are trying to find answer for single question or problem. I know you are very busy guys, but please don't give slack on these forums and page. What type of forums is this anyway? Is it programmed by you guys? Then stick with game design and don't try to reinvent the forum thing!
Don't flame me back by telling me that I can use Google site feature... blah blah blah, and it's so easy to use search-on-otherpage.com or whatever.
There are hundreds of people that donÆt know that you have to use other sites to search on you site.
The help channel in EVE is crowded by people asking the same questions over and over again. People are asking other people the same questions over and over again. Forums were built for one purpose, and CCP just stepped out of that revelation by taking the only thing that makes forum a forum! I need informationÆs, and when I get stuck or have a question I GO to the forums and SEARCH like everyone else in the world! If you donÆt have time to do it, give the man a slack that set this forum up to fix this at least. CCP too poor to hire someone to actually fix this matter-that-has-been-sitting-on-your-desk-so-long? Then stick a Donate button on the page and ill bet you get enough money to pay for a programmer and ice cream for everyone! TRUST me guys, and I really promise you that having a good solid forums and updates news on the front page will really make a lot of people happy and life easier like for me! I'm a paying customer of 5 accounts, and I can nag as much as I want. The only news you really update is to brag off how many people were logged on at the same time. There are plenty of people in the game that are so experienced that will post news daily and really take care of it for very little or no cost. CUSTOMER SERVICE GUYS... I'm Icelandic like you! Woohoooo, aint that wonderful? NO because I know how our tradition in customer service is BAD until someone like me yells inside the store.
LISTEN to the PEOPLE! Work with the PEOPLE! It's so little thing but does incredible much. Get some search on the forums at least! I just know how many flames I will get back by writing this, and I truly promise you that I don't care. IÆm not here to debate my opinion on this matter or defend myself. I'm not even going to look at the replies. The main reason I wrote this is because I have asked CCP in the "OTHER PETITION" department if there is any search feature I can use on EVE and I'm still pending after 2 years. CUSTOMER SERVICE CCP!
It's only matter of time when someone copies your game and have search feature on the forums, and what a paradise that will be :) We are supposed to have it nice so we keep paying you remember? Business 101
